 Our March 2007 Conferences

During March 2007, we are hosting our popular strategic conferences created specifically for Head Teachers, Senior Managers and E-Learning Directors in secondary schools.

These free one-day conferences provide an excellent opportunity for you to gather ideas and to share experiences with other schools. This year, reflecting the focus on the 14-19 curriculum, we are extending an invite to Principals and Senior Managers from within the LL sector, giving you an opportunity to discuss together this and other key education priorities.

Throughout the day, practical advice and suggestions will be provided on making the most of the resources available in your school and raising standards in education.

The agenda will include sessions looking at the key drivers for improvement in education, along with keynote addresses from leading educationalists and presentations from schools sharing their experiences and insights.

The agenda is starting to take shape and the web will be updated regularly.

Learning Platforms
The new hot topic of learning platforms will feature throughout the agenda and having just been announced as one of the Becta accredited suppliers for learning platforms, RMs conferences will demonstrate why this is important to the future of education.

Leadership - Success in a changing environment
Manchester - Di Lloyd (now working for the SSAT having spoken at last years conferences), addressing how collaboration between schools and colleges can work together to deliver the curriculum.

London - Patricia Cronin, The Grammar School for Girls, Wilmington
Birmingham - Jane Hamshere, The Cleeve School

Creating a 21st Century Teaching & Learning environment
A session that will consider the use of technology to support the different 14-19 priorities and learning platforms. The morning session will conclude with a panel featuring keynotes and speakers.

Pioneer and product showcase
Following feedback we are running a series of optional coffee and lunchtime sessions featuring inspiring case study presentations but also give you the opportunity to see the future of teaching and learning to come through learning platforms and Community Connect 4.

Pioneer speakers announced!
Manchester - Malcolm Burnett, King Harold School
London - Desi McKeown and Jan Atkinson, The Deanes School
Birmingham - Ian Wilson, Manor High School

Working Together - The learner of the future
